French Polynesia
Two weeks were not enough to get known the country that consists of 121 islands. I could visit only four of them, the largest one Tahiti, Raiatea, Taha'a and Mo'orea.
The nature is magic, not only beaches and blue sea but, specially for those who like nature, the inner parts of islands are fantastic. Hills, forests, trekking trails, rivers, vegetation...
People are kind, friendly, always prepared to help. They speak their own language, their official language is French. Even though I don't speak French I didn't have any difficulties using my English, sometimes hands.
Food? All kinds of fruits, vegetables, fishes. You can't be hungry.
If you really want to see the country, you must rent a car or motorbike. It is pretty expensive, but worth of money you pay. The roads are so-so... with relatively good markings. And you can always booked all kinds of trips.
Where to live? I had a very good experience with renting rooms or flats through Airbnb.
Well. That are the major points. If you decide to go to French Polynesia, take enough time. I would like to go there again, maybe, one day...
